Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled engineer to translate engineering intent into additively manufactured metallic flight hardware, including thrust chambers, injectors, and turbopumps. You will educate engineers on design for AM, create print models, own the manufacturing process, and drive improvements with data, collaborating with operators, quality techs, and engineers.

The role supports production on-site in Kent, Washington, with on-call off-hours as needed, and requires clear communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in aerospace or similar industries.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Own the development of Additively Manufactured components from concept to production using LPB printing.
• Define and deliver production print models using state-of-the-art software tools and design for AM.
• Demonstrate machine-specific workflows and software to improve additive designs.
• Develop manufacturing work instructions from print to delivery.
• Manage cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule across manufacturing.
