Job summary

Blue Origin in Kent, Washington is seeking a manufacturing/AM engineer to translate engineering intent and drawings into additively manufactured flight hardware. You will support production from print to delivery and work with operators, quality technicians, and engineers to address manufacturing issues.

You will learn design for additive manufacturing, develop print models, and contribute to process improvements using data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Will have degree within the last year and be able to start Fall 2027.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or otherwise eligible to work in the U.S.
• Interest in additive manufacturing technologies.
• Must be able to work on production floor onsite in Kent, WA.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of Additively Manufactured (AM) components from concept to production using LPB printing.
• Assist in defining and delivering production print models using state-of-the-art software tools and design for AM.
• Learn machine-specific workflows and software packages to improve additive designs.
• Participate in company process definition, documentation, and improvement teams for manufacturing and related processes.
• Assist in developing manufacturing work instructions from print to delivery.
• Support management of cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule across the manufacturing process.
• Participate in root cause analyses when non-conformances are identified and support corrective actions.
• Ability to support onsite in Kent, WA and during off hours via phone or online tools.
