Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Kent, WA is seeking a talented engineer to support the translation of engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into additively manufactured metallic flight hardware. You will learn and apply design for AM, assist with print models, and help address manufacturing issues on rocket components.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering, exposure to additive manufacturing, and the ability to work with operators and flight hardware teams on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or aerospace engineering or related field.
• Ability to start by Fall 2027 and work on-site in Kent, WA.
• Interest or exposure to additive manufacturing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support development of AM components from concept to production using LPB printing.
• Define and deliver production print models with configuration controlled processes.
• Learn machine-specific workflows and software to improve designs.
• Participate in process definition, documentation, and improvement teams for manufacturing processes.
• Develop manufacturing work instructions from print to delivery.
• Support cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule management through manufacturing.
