Job summary

Blue Origin in Kent, Washington, is seeking a talented early-career engineer to translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into additively manufactured metallic flight hardware, including thrust chambers, injectors, and turbo pumps.

You will learn design for AM, assist with print models, support the manufacturing process, track work orders, and collaborate with operators, quality technicians, and engineering to address manufacturing issues and drive data‑driven improvements.

Qualifications

  • Degree required in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, aerospace engineering, or related field.
  • Graduates within the last year who can start by Fall 2027 are eligible.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligible status is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of additively manufactured components from concept to production using LPB printing.
  • Assist in creating production print models with configuration-controlled processes and design for AM.
  • Learn machine-specific workflows and software to optimize additive designs.
  • Contribute to manufacturing process definitions, documentation, and improvement teams.
  • Help develop manufacturing work instructions from print to delivery.
  • Assist in managing cost, quality, build sequence, and scheduling of hardware.
  • Participate in root cause analyses and corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Support onsite operations in Kent, WA and after-hours via phone or remote tools.
