Qualifications

• Customer service experience in healthcare.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet and email.
• Basic knowledge of healthcare insurance plans.
• Basic knowledge of HIPAA/EMTALA compliance.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Ability to train others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Currently at Patient Access Acute Representative II level with Level II certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage expected floor time with supervisor and assist with reports.
• Act as SME; follow up on appeals, denials, inquiries, and update accounts.
• Provide staff on the floor with escalation support.
• Inform patients about estimates, financial assistance, payment plans, and charity care.
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff for smooth patient flow.
• Update patient records in the EHR and follow downtime procedures.
• Follow up on pending issues such as prior authorizations, referrals, and estimates.
