Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience preferred.
• Familiarity with GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience supporting month-end closing activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage high volume invoices and deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and within deadlines.
• Perform two-way and three-way matching of invoices, PO, and receiving docs.
• Assign GL codes, cost centers, departments, and project information.
• Verify invoices for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Enter invoices and AP data into the accounting system.
• Research and resolve invoice and pricing discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors, procurement, and internal teams.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with weekly payments (checks, ACH, etc.).
• Maintain AP records per company policies and keep records up to date.
• Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals.
• Help ensure AP transactions comply with GAAP and internal controls.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly.
• Support audits with requested documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP accuracy and processes.
• Perform additional accounting/admin duties as assigned.
