Job summary

Subsurface Energy Resources is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure timely payments, verify invoice approvals, and perform 3-way matching. You will enter vendor invoices, process payments, and assist with 1099 preparations.

This role supports the accounting team with routine AP tasks, reconciliation, and responding to inquiries, while maintaining accurate digital files and contributing to audit readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years accounts payable or applicable office experience.
• Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working in JD Edwards beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Verify approval and coding on all invoices and payment requests
• Enter and process all vendor invoices
• Prepare and process checks, ACH, and wires for weekly payments
• Audit and verify expense reports
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Maintain account payable digital files
• Support 1099 preparation
• Assist with audit preparation
• Respond to both internal and external AP related inquiries
