J.B.A. Automotive in Glen Burnie, MD seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments. You will reconcile statements, post transactions, and maintain vendor files while supporting month‑end close.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in accounts payable (automotive dealership preferred) and may use Reynolds & Reynolds. Strong data entry, math aptitude, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment, automotive dealership experience preferred.
• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Reconcile statements and invoices, and issue payments to vendors.
• Process checks disbursements for accounts payable.
• Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
• Ensure accounts payable transactions are accurately reconciled.
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Research and resolve discrepancies and issues.
• Create and maintain vendor files.
• Correspond with vendors and respond to their inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks.
• Provide coverage for the receptionist desk as needed.
• Offer general office support as required.
• Undertake special projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. Responsibilities include reconciling invoices and statements, overseeing prompt payments to vendors, and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers. This position is vital to the smooth functioning of our dealership, contributing to our overall financial health and operational success.

The annual pay ranges from $41,600 to $62,400.

Pay is commensurate with experience. Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision,HSA, 401K) are available after the probationary period.
