Job summary

Werner Auto Team in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with automotive dealership experience. The role handles invoices, payments, and vendor records to keep financials accurate.

You will reconcile AP transactions, review employee expense reports, and ensure compliance with company policies. A2 years in automotive AP is required; CDK experience and MS Office skills are preferred. This is a full-time on-site position with benefits and background checks.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of automotive dealership accounts payable experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is a plus.
• CDK experience preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and pass background checks.

Automotive Accounts Payable Specialist Duties and Responsibilities may include several of the following:

• Receiving, reviewing, and verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness; ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Processing payments through various methods, including electronic payments, ACH, and checks.
• Maintaining and updating vendor records; addressing and resolving any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Reconciling accounts payable transactions and vendor statements; investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Reviewing and processing employee expense reports; ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation for all accounts payable transactions; ensuring proper filing and retrieval of documents.
• Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors to support operational needs.

Automotive Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements and Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in Automotive Dealership Accounts Payable or a similar role, with a strong understanding of processes and procedures within the automotive, logistical, or manufacturing industry.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is a plus, but not required.
• CDK experience preferred
• Proven experience with accounting software.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must hold a current, valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background check.
• Understand deadlines and be able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to all tasks
