Job summary

The Suddath Companies is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to manage the daily activities of the AP department and to provide primary support for AP staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments. The role involves review and approval of payable requests, as well as collaboration with internal teams for exceptional processing.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years in accounts payable or treasury, plus managerial experience and familiarity with Great Plains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or related experience.
• Two to three years in accounts payable or treasury roles.
• Two to three years in a managerial role.
• Experience using Great Plains preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise Accounts Payable Coordinators.
• Review and distribute daily banking reports.
• Review and approve payable transactions (checks, ACHs, wires).
• Ensure appropriate general ledger entries for payable returns.
• Oversee 1099 reporting and year-end analysis.
• Address aged payables and reconcile AP clearing accounts.
• Support inter-company payable transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist with Comdata reconciliations and monthly closing tasks.
