Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease schedules and support the end-to-end lease accounting process. You will develop the understanding of stakeholders, systems, and controls to ensure accurate reporting.

Your role includes preparing analyses, journal entries, and reconciling accounts, while supporting SOX audits and staying current with accounting standards. A strong GL background and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• Minimum of one year practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards and assesses impact on reporting.
• Assists with additional duties as needed and supports reasonable accommodations.
