Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to join our finance team. You will maintain ASC 842 lease accounting schedules, understand end-to-end processes, and support internal and external reporting with strong controls.

You will reconcile balance sheets, prepare analyses and journal entries, assist with audits, and stay current with FASB/SEC guidance while contributing to a collaborative, inclusive workplace that values growth and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 1 year of general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting preferred.
• Ability to support audits (SOX) and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules per ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolves variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX.
• Completes special projects and tracks changes in accounting standards.
