Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease accounting schedules and support internal controls. You will analyze balance sheet accounts, prepare journal entries, and assist with audits and SOX compliance in a remote-friendly U.S.

role. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least one year of general ledger experience, and has familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process of lease accounting, including stakeholders, systems and internal controls.
• Proactively prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as assigned by leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC, PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
