Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accounting professional to maintain schedules under ASC 842 and support end-to-end accounting processes. You will prepare analyses and journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with audits. A strong grasp of the general ledger and current accounting standards is essential.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, collaboration with stakeholders, and ongoing learning to keep up with new FASB and SEC requirements. Prior lease accounting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting; and a minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules per ASC 842.
• Understands end-to-end lease accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as directed by department leadership.
• Keeps current with FASB, SEC, PCAOB standards affecting accounting.
