Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support lease accounting under ASC 842 and general ledger activities. The role involves maintaining lease schedules, understanding end-to-end processes, preparing analyses, and assisting with audits.

The position emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and collaboration with internal teams. A bachelor’s degree in accounting and 1+ year of GL experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting with at least 1 year of general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process of lease accounting, including stakeholders, systems, processes and internal controls.
• Proactively prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
