Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease accounting schedules and develop a detailed understanding of end-to-end lease processes. You will support reporting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting with at least one year of general ledger experience, plus strong analytical and communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems and controls.
• Proactively prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards and assesses impact on reporting.
