Job summary

Cable One is seeking a lease accounting professional to maintain ASC 842 schedules and support end-to-end lease accounting processes. You will interact with stakeholders, systems, and controls to ensure accurate reporting.

The role involves preparing analyses, journal entries, and assisting with audits and compliance. A Bachelor's in Accounting and at least one year of ledger experience are preferred; ASC 842 experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and at least 1 year of general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting process, stakeholders, systems, and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses per leadership requests.
• Keeps up to date with FASB, SEC, and PCAOB standards and assesses impact of changes.
