Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accounting Specialist to maintain ASC 842 schedules and deepen knowledge of the end-to-end lease accounting process. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, and support audits within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• At least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting, including stakeholders, systems, processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolves variances promptly.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses for department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards and analyzes impact on reporting.
• Performs other duties as needed and supports reasonable accommodations.
