Job summary

Leoforce in Annapolis, MD is seeking an Entry Level Accounting Administrator to support day-to-day accounting and administrative functions for a large-scale operation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling financial records, customers, and vendors.

Responsibilities include posting debits/credits, reconciling basic statements, and assisting with AP/AR. Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, daytime hours with benefits may apply.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or closely related experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial data.
  • Ability to evaluate, organize, prioritize, and categorize information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills when working with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Balance accounting entries and make necessary corrections.
  • Maintain and update financial records, journals, logs, and related documentation.

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Coordinate account-related information and documentation with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
  • Identify discrepancies and assist with resolving accounting or recordkeeping issues.
  • Perform basic accounting calculations and data analysis.
  • Support additional accounting and administrative projects as assigned.
