Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Associate Account Manager to retain and expand relationships with existing commercial and industrial customers in an assigned territory. The role focuses on smaller, less complex accounts, making outbound and inbound calls to protect revenue and grow penetration of our waste services portfolio.

You will use Salesforce daily, understand available services, and perform contract renewals while supporting pricing initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of customer service experience required.
• Preferred: waste or transportation industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintains and retains existing customers in assigned territory.
• Reaches out to existing customers daily to retain business and identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Develops knowledge of Republic Services services, pricing, and offers additional services as appropriate.
• Performs contractual re-signs to extend relationships and profitability.
• Responds to cancellation requests per policy and escalates as needed.
• Uses Salesforce daily to log calls, meetings, and proposals.
• Captures customer emails and manages rate restrictions and credits.
• Increases customer penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products.
• Meets with Sales Manager weekly to review retention activities and progress toward goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
