Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply in Missouri is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, grow accounts, and drive sales revenue through proactive communication, quotes, and order management.

The ideal candidate has prior customer service and sales experience, strong pricing and margin skills, MS Word/Excel proficiency, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree is preferred or equivalent sales experience.
• Prior customer service and sales experience required.
• Some metals industry or aluminum sales experience would be a bonus.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities; high attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to sign our standard non‑compete agreement.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to provide a high level of customer service and support
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to identify current and future sales opportunities
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and order status
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate quotes, pricing, and configurations in accordance with company policies
• Effectively document sales orders, quotes, and customer communications
• Interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions
• Generate new business through outbound calls, follow-up on leads, and proactive sales outreach
• Close sales opportunities generated through inbound and outbound efforts
• Submit timely call reports and track sales activities
• Prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity
