Merchants Metals, LLC is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to manage relationships with contractors, builders, and B2B customers, process orders, and drive revenue through account development and product recommendations.

The role focuses on day‑to‑day sales within an established customer base, with emphasis on repeat business, upselling, and timely order fulfillment, while delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years inside sales experience in B2B distribution, building materials, or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to generate sales, upsell products, and grow customer accounts.
• Strong phone presence with confidence in handling sales conversations.
• Ability to build relationships with a wide range of customers (contractors, builders, etc.).
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and B2B customers to drive repeat business.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross‑sell products based on customer needs.
• Actively manage and grow existing accounts through consistent follow‑up and customer engagement.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls to generate sales and support customer orders.
• Qualify customer needs, provide accurate pricing/quotes, and close sales opportunities.
• Respond to customer inquiries and present product solutions aligned with their requirements.
• Learn and confidently communicate product knowledge to support customer decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (warehouse, operations) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Manage multiple orders, requests, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Provide a high level of customer service while maintaining a focus on revenue generation.
