Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply, Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, grow assigned accounts, and drive revenue.

You will manage quotes, orders, pricing, and configurations while delivering excellent customer service and pursuing long-term retention and growth. The role requires strong communication, organization, and Excel skills, with prior sales experience and a four-year degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree is preferred or equivalent sales experience.
• Prior customer service and sales experience required.
• Metals industry or aluminum sales experience would be a bonus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong math skills and comfort working with pricing and margin calculations.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
• Must be willing to sign our standard non-compete agreement.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers by phone, email, and written correspondence to provide high level service.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to identify sales opportunities.
• Respond promptly to inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and order status.
• Prepare, review, and maintain quotes, pricing, and configurations per policy.
• Document sales orders, quotes, and customer communications.
• Interpret customer requirements and recommend products or solutions.
• Generate new business through outbound calls and lead follow-up.
• Close sales opportunities from inbound and outbound efforts.
• Submit timely call reports and track sales activities.
• Prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity.
