Job summary

Zscaler, Inc. in the Southeast US is seeking an Account Executive for Higher Education to drive new business and expand strategic relationships.

This remote role reports to the Regional Director and focuses on public sector accounts, delivering cloud security solutions and AI-enabled security outcomes. You will build trusted advisor relationships with CIOs and procurement leads, develop account plans, coordinate with internal teams, and shepherd opportunities from qualification to close in a

Qualifications

6+ years of full‑cycle sales experience within the software or security industry.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Progressive selling experience engaging with enterprise accounts and selling at the C‑Level.
Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI‑driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with important internal and customer stakeholders, including c-suite decision-makers.
Create a long-term account strategy aligned with customer goals.
Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer needs and contribute to comprehensive account planning.
Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client businesses and aligning technical solutions with their strategic goals.
