Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Access Services Representative 1 in Frisco, TX. This PRN role focuses on obtaining accurate demographics, verifying insurance and collecting patient financial responsibilities across locations.

The position supports patient flow and registration processes in a high-volume healthcare environment. The role emphasizes empathetic patient interaction, strong communication, and data entry accuracy, with diverse shift opportunities and exposure to revenue cycle

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents patient interviews to obtain demographic and financial data for registration, insurance verification and billing.
• Registers patients at multiple locations and supports patient flow in different departments.
• Identifies process improvements to promote teamwork and improve revenue cycle and patient experience.
• Verifies patient eligibility for insurance coverage and determines patient liability and payment arrangements as needed.
• May perform cashiering duties following established policies and procedures.
• Assist patients to nursing units with directions and mobility support when applicable.
• Adhere to compliance with cash policy, government payors and patient safety requirements.
