Responsibilities

• Registers patients by obtaining demographic and insurance information and verifies eligibility.
• Knows patient flow processes in each area and supports registration.
• Identifies improvements to promote teamwork and revenue cycle efficiency.
• Interacts with other departments to relay patient delays and schedule changes.
• Calculates and collects patient liability according to policies and negotiates payment arrangements.
• Assists patients with directions and mobility support as needed.
• Adheres to compliance, cash policies, and proper patient identification.
• May perform cashiering duties and verify cash deposits as assigned.
• Conducts quality audits and supports special projects and reporting.
• Acts as a super-user or trainer, monitoring workflow and guiding staff when needed.
