Training will cover mandated procedures and certifications, with opportunities to work varied shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; prior customer service or public safety experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Customer service or public safety experience helpful but not always needed.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and complete assessments as required by the agency.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller's callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the dispatch function.
• Assist distressed callers with essential questions and instructions.
• Follow language-access and accessibility resources when needed.
• Provide authorized pre-arrival instructions within training and certification.
