Job summary

Public Safety Dispatch Network seeks a 911 Call Taker to be the first point of contact for emergency reports in the Waddell, AZ area. You will ask focused questions, confirm locations, document information, and coordinate with dispatch teams to guide responders.

Responsibilities include handling emergency and nonemergency lines, entering data into software, and providing pre-arrival guidance within approved protocols. High school diploma or equivalent and strong listening skills are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong listening comprehension, accurate typing, and clear verbal communication.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and complete assessments.
• Applicants with dispatch experience may be preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Assist distressed callers with essential questions and instructions.
• Use language-access and accessibility resources when needed.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions within training and certification.
