Job summary

The Metropolitan Emergency Services Agency is seeking a Training/Control Operator to deliver classroom and on-the-job instruction for EMS, fire, and police first responders in the 911 Center. You will handle training documentation, assess trainee performance, and support shift operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating training needs, maintaining confidentiality, and operating CAD and related incident management platforms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience as a Control Operator with Metropolitan Emergency Services Agency.

Responsibilities

• Train new and current employees in 911 law enforcement and fire control operations.
• Identify training needs and schedule appropriate training for staff.
• Document training activities and prepare training guides.
• Evaluate trainees and remediate employees as needed.
• Process emergency and non-emergency requests via phone, radio, or in person.
• Operate CAD, VESTA, EMSystem, and related systems accurately.
