Regional 911 Intake Solutions in Farmville, NC seeks 911 Call Takers to be the first point of contact for emergencies. You will ask focused questions, confirm locations, and document information for dispatch personnel.

Some centers separate call taking from radio dispatch, while others train for both functions. Work may be on a 24-hour schedule with rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call‑processing software.
• Forward incident information promptly to dispatch.
• Provide calm guidance to callers within training limits.
• Use language-access resources when needed.
• Provide pre‑arrival instructions only within certification.
