Responsibilities

• Confirm incident location and caller callback information.
• Ask focused questions to identify nature and urgency.
• Enter details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information to the dispatch function promptly.
• Assist distressed callers with focused questions and steps.
• Use language-access resources when needed.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions only within training.
