Public Safety Dispatch Network is seeking 911 Call Takers to support emergency communications operations. The role focuses on gathering accurate information, confirming locations, and coordinating with dispatch teams to ensure timely responses.

Employees may work in rotating shifts and receive training to handle both call-taking and dispatch functions, with opportunities for ongoing certification and career progression.

Formación

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Customer service, telephone support, or public safety experience is helpful.
• Strong listening, accurate typing, clear verbal communication, and the ability to follow structured procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Answer incoming emergency and nonemergency calls.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify the nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Assist distressed callers with essential questions and instructions.
• Use language-access and accessibility resources when needed.
• Provide authorized pre-arrival instructions within training.
