Public Safety Dispatch Network seeks 911 Call Takers to handle emergency and nonemergency calls, verify locations and caller details, and document information for dispatch teams. Training and certifications will guide call-taking procedures, with routine use of dispatch software to route incidents efficiently.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; prior customer service or public safety exposure is helpful. Shifts may vary, and confidentiality is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Previous customer service, telephone support, or public safety experience may be helpful.
• Strong listening comprehension, accurate typing, and clear verbal communication; ability to follow structured procedures.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide instructions within training and certification.
