Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a 3D Heterogeneous Integration Development Intern in New York to contribute to advanced packaging and integration development. You will work with engineering teams on experiments, data analysis, and modeling; support daily activities and project objectives.

The role requires a sophomore pursuing a relevant engineering degree, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and English fluency. Travel up to 10% and a 40-hour workweek are expected.

Qualifications

• At least a sophomore in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a relevant engineering field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency in English (written & verbal) required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Able to commit to 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform design of experiments (DOEs) using internal tooling and external partners.
• Analyze and interpret engineering data from experiments, process optimizations, and characterization activities.
• Develop or support process models to improve understanding of advanced packaging and integration performance.
• Assist engineers with daily integration, process-development, documentation, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with process, materials, equipment, characterization, and external partner teams to support project objectives.
• Summarize experimental results and communicate findings and next steps to stakeholders.
