Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift to lead daily manufacturing operations and a team of 6+ employees. You will balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale while guiding continuous improvement through lean, Six Sigma and other CI methods.

You will coordinate with Warehouse, Planning and QA, manage schedules, and ensure timely completion of jobs. A High School diploma is required, with a Bachelor's degree a plus; 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Has 5-7 years’ progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Has a minimum of 3 years of experience directing an hourly or manufacturing workforce.
• Holds a High School diploma or GED; A Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
• Possesses intermediate computer skills including MS Office suite and planning systems.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5P or similar CI models.

Responsibilities

• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve results.
• Supervise 6+ employees and manage manpower and materials.
• Lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives with Operational Excellence.
• Monitor production schedules and report delays and issues.
• Ensure safety training and conduct accident investigations as needed.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Supply Chain, Planning and QA to resolve issues.
