Job summary

G&W Electric Co. seeks a Production Supervisor for a 2nd shift (1:30 to 10 pm) to oversee a designated value stream. You will plan and assign work, implement policies, and drive improvements in methods, equipment, and working conditions.

You will balance quality, productivity, and cost while leading a small team, ensuring on-time delivery, and coaching staff for performance and safety. The role emphasizes Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement across production processes.

Qualifications

• Has 5-7 years’ progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years directing an hourly or manufacturing workforce.
• High School diploma or GED; A Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office and inventory planning systems.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge and leadership in Lean, Six Sigma, 5P or other continuous improvement models.

Responsibilities

• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to meet schedule dates and improve throughput.
• Control manpower and materials to complete jobs on time.
• Guide and monitor group toward goals; adjust work roles and distribution as needed.
• Lead continuous improvement activities and research improvements in processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with Operational Excellence to implement lean value stream priorities.
• Supervise manufacturing employees and manage timekeeping and attendance.
• Provide safety training and coaching to improve safety performance.
• Mentor and develop employees and manage HR-related issues.
