G&W Electric Co. in Illinois is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations for a value stream. You will plan workload, assign tasks, and implement procedures to improve productivity, quality, and safety.

The role requires 5–7 years in manufacturing with 3+ years directing a manufacturing workforce, plus Lean and Six Sigma knowledge. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany a chance to lead a lean production team.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years directing an hourly or manufacturing workforce.
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office suite and inventory systems.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
• Control manpower and materials needed to complete jobs accurately and on time.
• Guide/monitor group toward its goals and ensure productivity; authority to change work roles/ distribution.
• Lead continuous improvement activities and research new processes and equipment.
• Improve manufacturing processes using lean concepts and Six Sigma in collaboration with Operational Excellence.
• Supervise manufacturing employees and track attendance and timekeeping.
