Job summary

G&W Electric Co. seeks a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee daily manufacturing operations, supervise a designated value stream, and implement policies to improve methods and conditions.

You will plan work, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement with operations excellence. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead a team of 6+ employees, manage safety and training, and coordinate with planning, QA, and supply chain to resolve issues and meet production

Qualifications

• Has 5–7 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Has a minimum of 3 years directing an hourly or manufacturing workforce.
• HS diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and an inventory system.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Leadership in Lean, Six Sigma, 5P or continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to meet schedule dates and improve throughput.
• Control manpower and materials needed to complete jobs on time.
• Guide the group toward goals; adjust work roles and distribution as needed.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and evaluate new processes and equipment.
• Support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and drive a lean culture.
