Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Decatur, AL is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor for Retail or Further processing to lead production teams and ensure compliance with HACCP, SSOPs and USDA/OSHA standards.

You will supervise up to 100 employees, mentor staff, drive process improvements, monitor safety, quality, and efficiency, and collaborate with QA and other departments to meet production goals in a fast-paced poultry operation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in manufacturing; 3+ years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred
• 1 year leadership including timekeeping, policy adherence, conflict resolution
• Knowledge of poultry processing, food safety, OSHA, GMP, HACCP
• Strong English communication; multi-language skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage processing line to meet production schedules and budgets
• Deploy and rotate staff to optimize efficiency
• Ensure daily department reports, attendance, yields are recorded
• Identify opportunities for throughput, waste reduction and quality
• Lead process improvements and monitor metrics
• Partner with QA to ensure food safety and USDA compliance
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance actions
• Promote safety initiatives and PPE compliance
• Coordinate with other shifts to meet location goals
• Understand and adhere to union contract if applicable
