Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor in Decatur, AL to oversee Retail or Further processing lines. You will ensure adherence to HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs and USDA/OSHA regulations while driving productivity and meeting customer specs.

The role requires leadership, strong English communication, and the ability to mentor up to 100 staff in a fast-paced environment. Associates degree preferred and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in manufacturing; 3 years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience; knowledge of timekeeping, policy adherence, conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations (OSHA, GMP, HACCP).
• Ability to communicate in English, written and verbal; multi-language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail or further processing production line to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Complete and record departmental reports, attendance, yields, etc.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce deficiencies.
• Lead process improvements and monitor metrics; address unfavorable trends.
• Partner with QA to ensure food safety and sanitary standards per USDA requirements.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance actions fairly.
• Follow safety initiatives and PPE requirements; promote zero-accident culture.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
