Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician L1 for the Wakefield facility. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability tasks to keep plant equipment running smoothly.

The candidate will work 2PM-10PM, engage with maintenance and plant teams, and uphold Food Safety, GMP, and safety standards in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
• Prior SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on plant equipment and minor electrical repairs.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment.
• Read blueprints and wiring schematics to guide work.
• Use CMMS to document reliability data and maintenance actions.
• Assist in root cause analysis and reliability improvement efforts.
• Uphold safety, GMP, and food safety standards; work scheduled shifts including weekends/holidays.
