Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Electrician L1 to perform electrical/instrumentation maintenance, diagnostics, and reliability improvements at the Wakefield plant. You will collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to ensure asset availability and safety.

Strong hands-on electrical skills, problem-solving, and adherence to GMPs and food safety standards are required. Shift is First, 6am-2pm, with potential weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree or a two-year technical certificate in electrical/instrumentation is preferred.
• Electrical license or certification is preferred.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate with electrical/instrumentation maintenance team to ensure personal safety, quality, delivery, and cost are continuously improved to achieve company objectives.
• Actively learn and champion Precision Maintenance techniques ensuring procedural compliance and that job tolerances are met.
• Participate in critical electrical/instrumentation equipment maintenance training for maintenance personnel.
• Follow reliability procedures for critical spares and parts.
• Follow quality commissioning procedures for critical rebuilt or new electrical/instrumentation equipment.
• Learn and participate in electrical/instrumentation maintenance assignments and troubleshooting tasks.
• Use MFI approved CMMS to manage and document reliability reporting and decision making.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records as required.
• Provide input for root cause analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
• Promote Michael Foods culture, values, and safety practices.
• Adhere to GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality; report any deviations.
