Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician L2 for the Wakefield plant on 2nd shift (2pm-11pm). The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, reliability improvements, and collaboration with maintenance, operations, and support teams.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, equipment installation, and process improvements while upholding safety, GMP, and food quality standards; CMMS documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Associate degree or two-year technical certificate preferred.
• 1–2 years experience as a maintenance technician preferred.
• Trained in MTL1 skills preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams preferred.
• Prior SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve asset reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment with maintenance personnel.
• Assist with installation, startups, and process improvements.
• Participate in maintenance training for staff.
• Recordkeeping and reliability reporting using CMMS.
• Ensure safety, GMP, and food quality compliance.
• Work scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
