Job summary

Michael Foods Wakefield plant seeks a Maintenance Technician L2 to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, improving asset health and reliability. You will collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, troubleshoot equipment, and support safety, quality, and process improvements.

The role requires reading drawings, SAP experience, and Precision Maintenance techniques. Weekend/holiday availability may be required; GED or technical degree with 1–2 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate, or experience which demonstrates technical aptitude preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as a maintenance technician preferred.
• Trained and competent in MFI MTL1 skills preferred.
• Ability to read and decipher mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams preferred.
• Prior experience in SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate with reliability and maintenance team to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Execute and champion Precision Maintenance techniques ensuring tolerances are met.
• Perform technical troubleshooting with experienced maintenance personnel.
• Participate in maintenance training for personnel.
• Follow reliability procedures for critical spares and parts.
• Implement quality commissioning procedures for rebuilt or new equipment.
• Assist maintenance craftsmen during precision maintenance assignments.
• Use CMMS to manage, document, and support reliability reporting.
