Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. Wakefield facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician L1 to support plant reliability and maintenance goals.

You will perform mechanical and electrical repairs, execute preventive maintenance, and read blueprints to ensure smooth operation of equipment and processes. As part of a dynamic team, you will contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives while adapting to a 3rd shift schedule (10pm–6am, Monday–Friday).

Qualifications

• Must read and decipher mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and reliability programs is preferred.
• SAP experience is a plus; interaction across all organizational levels is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on plant equipment and minor electrical repairs.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Read blueprints and wiring schematics; use hand and power tools safely.
• Support reliability programs and participate in root-cause analysis when needed.
• Work on process improvements and support a safe, compliant work environment.
• Maintain documented records and participate in training of maintenance staff.
