Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and air brake systems. You will work with advanced vehicle technology and support drivers in a single fleet.

The role requires 5-7 years on heavy-duty trucks; ASE T1–T8 is a plus. A valid CDL B is preferred. 2nd shift (2p–2a) and a $7,500 sign-on bonus accompany competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in some systems.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• Preferred CDL B

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in chassis components and heavy truck systems, on-site or on-road.
• Repair and maintenance of refuse bodies, hyd and electrical systems, brakes, and engine components.
• Diagnose diesel fuel systems and perform fuel system diagnostics.
• Work on suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC and aftertreatment systems.
• Use scan tools to identify electrical faults and perform line maintenance or fabrication as needed.
• Complete required company training and perform other duties as assigned.
