Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, air brake and HVAC systems. You will diagnose multi-system issues, work on large fleet vehicles, and participate in ongoing training on advanced technologies.

The role offers a stable second shift with strong wages, a $2 per hour shift differential, and a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and boot allowance.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• CDL B or higher is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs complex repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Repair and maintenance of chassis components and refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics; diesel fuel and fuel system diagnostics; suspension, drivetrain and steering repairs.
• Diagnostics of electrical concerns with scan tools and line welding/fabrication as needed.
• Complete company training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
