Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC.

The role involves on-site and on-road service to keep our fleet running and drivers on their routes. Qualifications include experience with Class 1-5 trucks or similar equipment, ASE T1-T8 is a plus, CDL is a plus, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Classes 1-5 trucks or equivalent.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus.
• CDL is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in a technician position or graduation from automotive college or technical school within 3 months.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a working knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs preventive and repair maintenance.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and related hydraulic/electrical systems; air/brake systems.
• Light engine repair and maintenance; suspension, drivetrain, steering.
• HVAC maintenance and repair; welding/fabrication.
• Provide on-road road service as needed to return equipment to operation.
