Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, and control systems. You will work under supervision and support drivers with on-road service using state-of-the-art equipment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing multi-system issues, basic engine work, HVAC, suspension, drive train, and braking systems, plus occasional tire work. CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of experience in a technician position or recent graduation from automotive college/technical school.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required. Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, and air/brake systems.
• Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Provide road service when necessary to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools and complete training programs.
