Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain and repair data center hardware, networks, and systems. You will participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents to ensure high availability of AWS infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on hardware and network diagnostics, physical repairs, and collaboration with engineers, suppliers, and operations teams to keep services running globally.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience or equivalent IT experience.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware repairs; troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents impacting service availability.
• Serve as primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders including engineers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance/change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Assist in interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
